86 - 92 Blue Crew - received a NAM and
Citation for creating a set of graphs that could be used, after
recovering from a casualty that contaminated the atmosphere, to
determine what the levels of contaminants would be after they were
recirculated inboard throughout the entire boat, to know if we could
stop sucking rubber, instead of having to go to periscope depth and pop
the top to get fresh air, giving away our position. |

In the next
series of pictures, Change of command ceremony in Charleston.
After this ceremony, the Key became a one crew submarine. There
was also an award ceremony. Once the missiles were off loaded,
several crew members went swimming in a flooded missile tube. |

night Mike and an A-ganger borrowed Norm Russell's truck while he was on
watch in Kings Bay. The next day the hand prints were still on the
back of the truck where the Kings Bay police had them stand while they
arrested them for fishing naked in the lake at night. |
