Response to reunion 2002 in Duluth indicated that there was enough interest to formally organize the USS Francis Scott Key Reunion Association Officers are as follows: President: Al Singleman, Vice President: Bud Atkins, Sec/Treas Diane Singleman, Storekeeper, Richard (Dan) Barker & John Trubee, organizing committee. During our Reunion in Saratoga, NY in 2004, we elected new officers for the Reunion Association. Al Singleman is still President, Ed Postts is Vice President, & Diane Singleman is still Sec/Treas & Storekeeper.

We have come this far on the efforts of only five shipmates and volunteers. We’ve made a good start! Anyone wishing to volunteer to do a reunion association newsletter would be greatly appreciated.

We have established an USS Francis Scott Key Reunion Association treasury to fund operating expenses. Dues are assessed yearly. As with most similar reunion organizations they are $20.00 initial registration, $10.00 annual renewal. A sharp four-color ship’s patch USS Francis Scott Key Reunion Association membership card will be issued to each member.

Dues receipts as well as profits from the Ship’s Store sales go into the general treasury. Donations of any amount to help get our association get underway will gladly be accepted. All funds will be used to cover mailing expenses & reunion sponsorship etc. Three volunteers have donated organizing and store inventory funding to get us underway. Your support of the Reunion Association will help insure a successful reunion 06 as well as future reunions.

Wearing FSK ship’s store items with the ship’s logo is a good way to distinguish yourself as one who qualified and served aboard the finest boat in the finest branch of the best Navy in the world.

2006 Reunion:

It’s time for a USS Francis Scott Key reunion 2006 update. It’s been a busy 2 years and we are a bit behind in getting a newsletter out. Keep in mind that our only mode of communication is via email. Due to lack of time, help and money we are not able to use snail mail to communicate with those shipmates not on line. Please inform any Key shipmate you know that does not have email of reunion 06. Also about the Reunion Association. (Print & snail mail it to him) Communicating by SPS with those interested that are not on line our goal in the near future.

We are planning to hold the 3rd Reunion of the USS Francis Scott Key shipmates in Kings Bay, GA.from May 4th-7th, 2006. Some of the things we plan to do while here is visit St. Mary's Submarine Museum & possibly take a tour of the USS Florida. We will be having a Grand Banquet on Sat. May 6th. We will also have items available to be purchased from the Ships Store. If any one has any suggestions of things to do while here, please email or call us at 518-355-2119.

USS FSKEY 2006 REUNION REGISTRATION FORM

The 2nd Reunion of the USS Francis Scott Key shipmates was held in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Sept. 13th-19, 2004. It will be in conjunction with the USSVI 2004 National Convention. A good time was had by all who attended.
